Waiting for Little Sissy

Davi has a little notebook (she calls it her diary) that she scribbles in from time to time. This picture was her most recent add. Mind you, there's not a lot of detail as there are with many of her pics--just a quick draw. I asked her about the picture. She said it's Little Sissy inside the orphanage. She's sitting waiting for us. I'm glad to see she has a smile on her face.

A few weeks ago Davi offered to give us money to help with the adoption. She's so funny and such a sweety.

Despite the fact that she's excited to get a sister, she's doing quite well with the wait. Actually, all three of us are feeling at peace about being put on hold as we're watching some messiness happen in Ukraine. We're hoping there as some good changes (and warm weather) in the near future that are timed perfectly with our return. Whatever the case, we know our God is capable of anything, and we're so grateful to be in His wise care.

I'm glad you're finding peace in the wait. I know it's not easy. You're right, things in Ukraine are not good right now and it may be best to wait it out. Hang in there! :)

Hi guys,

Better to be watching the messiness from home than to be here going through it.Although if you were here, it'd be great getting together. The pic and the offer are adorable. Such a sweetie like that would make a wonderful sister.

The wait is so hard. But know that we are waiting with you.

Hi~ Thanks for leaving the message on our blog...we love hearing from other adopting parents! The wait and the messiness IS very hard, but I do believe ultimately God's will will go forth as he has ultimate authority. I hope that you hear something about your appointment soon! Also, wanted to let you know that if you do visit Hillsong Kiev, the internet says there is a 1:00 service, but it actually starts at 12:30...we were late :) If you happen to come while we are here, we would love to meet you there.

Keep the faith...that will get you through.

Thank you so much for sending us the prayer. I was in tears and couldn't finish reading it to my family. It worked!!
